Dream It Be It Conference – Mar 9, 2019
The Dream It, Be It: Career Advice for Girls Conference helps high school girls who face obstacles to their future success, providing them with access to professional role models, career education and the resources to reach their full potential and live their dreams.
The March 9th conference was a huge success. The RVHS girls were attentive, enthusiastic and involved. Facilitators covered topics ranging from career opportunities, setting and achieving goals, overcoming obstacles to success and moving forward after setbacks or failures, and even a little about managing credit and saving money!
The conference included facilitators Katie Cubbison and Bianca Preciado-Ramos from the Solano College TRIO SSS-STEM program, a nationally recognized academic support program. Attendees were able to network with these inspirational young women who are pursuing careers in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
Five lucky participants won a Chromebook raffled off at the end of the event.
The Dream It, Be It Conference joins Soroptimist’s long-running program, Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women. The Soroptimist Dream Programs ensure women and girls have access to the education and training they need to reach their full potential and live their dreams.

Beautiful young girls and their special escorts had a wonderful evening sponsored by the Lions Club and supported by SI Rio Vista.
Bingo Night – November 28, 2018
The club did a great job of organizing this entertaining event. Bingo Night sold out with 168 attendees. Kudos to event organizer Wanda Apel and her hard working team for a fantastic evening that also included numerous door prizes, 33 raffle prizes, and a silent auction.
The event was a huge success on many fronts. There was the “fun factor,” and ample opportunity to socialize. It was also a big financial success thanks to the generosity of donors, volunteers and our community.
Pumpkin Patch Bake Sale
The weather was delightful and the club sold lots of goodies October weekends 20-21 and 27-28 at the Western Railway Museum’s Annual Pumpkin Patch!
