Human Trafficking Summit – April 17, 2019

As mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, cousins, and friends of girls (and boys) in Rio Vista, please support our efforts to bring awareness about human trafficking to our town.

As you know, this is a rapidly growing crime, and the Bay Area has one of the highest rates of human trafficking in the country. Because of our proximity to the Bay Area, we believe it is crucial to raise awareness in Rio Vista about this heartbreaking crime—and we believe we must do so NOW, so we’ll be prepared when it reaches our community, as it most certainly will (and perhaps already has.)

We hope that you (and anyone else you think should take part) will join us for this important event.

Human Trafficking Summit: Education and Awareness
Wednesday, April 17, 2019
Veterans Memorial Bldg., 610 Saint Francis Way, Rio Vista
6:00PM – 6:30PM – Doors open to the general public
6:30PM – 8:00PM – Guest speakers’ presentations,
trafficking survivors’ testimonies, and Q & A session

Guest speakers will include
—Mr. Eric Stover, Director of the Human Rights Center, UC Berkeley, and renowned
expert on human trafficking
—A representative from the Solano County District Attorney’s Office

It’s up to us to protect our girls and boys and young adults from becoming victims of this terrible
crime. To do so, we must be aware of what’s going on in neighboring communities, and we
must educate ourselves about how to prevent it from infiltrating Rio Vista.

Please RSVP by April 1 to Kay Kelley at or request a free ticket through Eventbrite at
