The club is collects and assembles survival bags for women and girls in partnership with the Solano County Center for Family Justice.

The SFJC presents a unique opportunity to strengthen the DA’s victim advocacy efforts. Some of the advocacy and preventative services include assistance for victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, child abuse, sexual assault and other social services including onsite support and counseling.

On October 8th the committee assembled 35 bags that were delivered to Rio Vista C.A.R.E. and Solano Family Justice Center in Fairfield. In this effort, $1,400 in donations were collected.

The club collects new pajamas, under clothing, tooth brushes, shampoos, soaps and feminine hygiene products for women and girls who arrive at the center with only the clothes on their backs. The club hopes that the survival bags give these women and girls, if only for a few days or weeks, some dignity by providing the basic necessities for daily living.
